What the price includes
Registration through NiRA, the .ng registry, plus the management this store provides for as long as the domain is with us: a DNS record editor covering A, AAAA, CNAME, MX, TXT, NS and SRV records, nameserver changes (the registry accepts between two and five), a DNS check that queries twenty public resolvers including ipNX in Nigeria, and a propagation check.
There is nothing else to buy to make a domain work. Hosting is a separate product — you can point the domain anywhere, and our connection guides cover the platforms people usually point it at.
What happens when a domain expires
Renew before the expiry date. A domain that passes its expiry date stops resolving, which means your website and any email on that domain stop working — that is usually the first thing anyone notices.
After expiry the domain enters the registry's own lifecycle, and what can be done depends on how far through that lifecycle it has gone. We do not publish a redemption or restore price, because this store does not offer one: if a domain of yours has already expired, contact us and we will tell you what the registry says is still possible for that specific domain.
Questions about price
- Is VAT included in these prices?
- The registration fee excludes VAT. We also show the first-year total including 7.5% VAT so you can see both before checkout.
- What will renewal cost?
- Your renewal price is shown at checkout for the domain you are buying, and again on the domain when it comes up for renewal. We do not publish a separate renewal table here, because the only renewal figure worth quoting is the one attached to your own order.
- Can I register for more than one year?
- Yes. Multi-year terms are offered at checkout where the registry supports them. The prices on this page are for one year, which is what most people buy.
- How do I pay?
- By card or bank transfer in naira, through Paystack. You do not need a dollar card.
- Do you sell .com, .net or .io?
- No. We register the NiRA .ng family only — .ng, .com.ng, .org.ng, .net.ng and .i.ng. Domains you already own on another registrar can still be transferred in and managed here if they are in that family.
