About .ng
A second-level .ng sits directly under the country code — yourname.ng rather than yourname.com.ng. That is four characters shorter to say, to type and to print, which matters more than it sounds on a receipt, a van or a radio ad.
It is also the newer half of the namespace. Most .ng registrations historically went to the third level, which means a name already taken at .com.ng is often still free at .ng. If a name you wanted is gone, this is the first place to look before you start adding words to it.

- Do I have to be a Nigerian company to register a .ng?
- We do not ask you for company documents to register a .ng, .com.ng, .org.ng, .net.ng or .i.ng. You need an account, a contactable email address and a payment. NiRA sets the rules for the namespace and can act on a registration that breaks them.
- Is .ng better for search than .com.ng?
- Neither is inherently better. A country-code domain is a signal to a search engine that a site is aimed at that country, and both are inside .ng, so both carry the same signal. Choose on length and on which one is available.
